This holiday marks the celebration of the Portuguese History and achievements, and it also commemorates the death of national literary icon Luís de Camões, the poet who wrote the national epic poem “Lusíadas”, a fantastical interpretation of the Portuguese voyages of discovery during the 15th and 16th centuries.
So, we decided to honor Camões, and do an animation about the fictitious monster Adamastor, that threatened to ruin the maritime expedition led by Vasco da Gama through the Cape of Storms. Subsequently, it also ruined Camões’ quiet afternoon!

Adamastor created the concept, directed and illustrated and I contributed with the animations.

Project featured in the category Motion by team Behance.
